Get Involved
We need people.
Three ways in, and none of them requires the others. Lead a committee, give an hour, or just join. Most families do one. All of it helps.
Committee chairs needed for 2026–27
The easiest way to make a difference is to chair a committee. A chair owns one area. You are not running the whole PTSO, and you will not be doing it alone. Committee chairs are voting members of the Executive Board, and a committee can be led by two co-chairs sharing one vote.
- Membership Drive sign-ups and renewals, keep the roll current
- Fundraising Run the year's fundraisers and sponsor outreach
- Campus Beautification Grounds and facility improvement projects. Chaired by Stephanie Booth.
- Hospitality Meeting setup, refreshments, staff appreciation
- Volunteers Match families to shifts and keep the schedule full
- Communications Newsletter, social posts, and this website
Rather talk it through first? Email president@mhsptso.org and Ashley will call you.

Panther On-Call
No dates. We text you when something comes up and you help if you can.
Not sure where you fit?
The interest form is the other door in. Tell us about yourself, your students, and what you are drawn to, and we will match you to something.
Become a member
Membership runs July 1 through June 30 and is open to any parent or guardian of an MHS student, any teacher or staff member, and any enrolled student. Every membership in good standing carries one vote. Ten dollars, two minutes.
Dues are deliberately low. We would rather have every Murphy family at the table than a bigger balance. No student is turned away for inability to pay, and hardship waivers are available from any officer. Just ask.
Run a business?
Sponsorship is a fourth way in, and it reaches a different audience than dues. See sponsorship options →
