Join the Pride
Drive closes Monday, October 12. Drawing Tuesday, October 13.
Student $5. Faculty and staff $10. Individual $10. Every member is entered in every drawing and gets a vote.
Murphy Makers Market
Saturday, October 3, 9 AM – 3 PM, the Horseshoe
Handmade goods, local businesses, food trucks and Murphy students selling their own work. Free to walk through. First Saturday of every month.
Panther Skate Night
Monday, October 12, 5 – 7 PM, Dreamland Skate Center
The whole Murphy family. Students, brothers and sisters, parents, grandparents. $6 per person to get in, skating or not. Bring your own skates or rent a pair at the rink.

Join the Pride
Our membership drive runs through Monday, October 12, and the drawing is Tuesday, October 13. Two chances to sign up in person before it closes: the Murphy Makers Market on Saturday, October 3, and Panther Skate Night on Monday, October 12. Goal: 500 members.
Every member gets
- Automatic entry Into every drawing for the whole drive
- A vote On how the PTSO runs, at every general membership meeting
Students: the advisory competition
The top three advisories in each grade, measured by the percentage of students who join, win a pizza party. That is up to twelve parties across 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th.
Any advisory that reaches 50 percent and does not finish in the top three goes into a drawing for another party. Percentage, not headcount, so a small advisory is not at a disadvantage.
No student is turned away for being unable to pay. Ask your advisory teacher, a counselor, or any officer. Nobody will be told.
You can pay online, or hand $5 cash to your advisory teacher.
Faculty and staff: unlock the baskets
Every person who joins improves everyone's odds. A basket full of classroom and office supplies, Murphy swag, and more!

Teachers, admin, counselors, front office, paraprofessionals, custodial, cafeteria, bus drivers and security all count.
Individual members: two free yearbooks
Two yearbooks are drawn on Tuesday, October 13. If you have already ordered yours, you get a credit for the same amount to spend on anything else we sell: out of uniform days, Panther Pizza Pitstop, Panther Donuts, spirit wear.
Your membership. Your vote. Members vote on how this organization runs. That is in our bylaws, and it is the part almost nobody says out loud.

Meeting schedule
General membership meetings are the second Tuesday of every month at 6:00 PM in the MHS Auditorium, open to every Murphy family, member or not. No childcare provided. The Executive Board meets the last Wednesday of every month, July through June. Where it meets is decided close to the date, often during a school break and sometimes online, so the location shows as TBD until it is set; board meetings are for Executive Board members.

The October 13 general meeting is marked pending because the membership authorized the board to hold a Panther Spirit Night that evening instead. We will confirm it here and by email as soon as it is settled. Either way, the Join the Pride drawing happens Tuesday, October 13.
